Poet Elizabeth Alexander and journalist Maria Hinojosa join Elizabeth Streb and Laura Flanders for Risky Talking: Creative Migrations a conversation about risk and change with audience-triggered physical acts.
Elizabeth Alexander is the author of six books of poetry, including American Sublime, a finalist for the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and The Light of the World, her critically acclaimed memoir. Appointed in 2015, she directs the Ford Foundation’s grant-making in arts, media, and culture.
Maria Hinojosa is the anchor and executive producer of Latino USA on National Public Radio and the executive producer of America By the Numbers with Maria Hinojosa: Clarkston Georgia, the story of a small town that went from being 90% white in the 1980s to less than 14% white today. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Futuro Media Group.
